New Client Resources

We opened the first phase of our new state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in December 2007. One goal at the forefront of our project planning was to create a comfortable experience for our clients, our staff and most importantly our patients. Our hospital is inspected by the American Association of Hospitals for Animals (AAHA) and New York State’s Veterinary Facility Accreditation Program (VFAP). Our waiting area feels more like home than a hospital. Our facilities manager, Ann Brill, is a master of keeping every corner of the hospital on a strict cleaning schedule in addition to our rigorous cleaning of all surfaces of the hospital.

If you are new to our area, we would like to invite your pet to become part of our family. At Colonial Veterinary Hospital we strive to provide your pet with the same care we provide our own pets.

Our Facility

Our hospital is known for its cleanliness. We are inspected by the American Association of Hospitals for Animals (AAHA) and New York State’s Veterinary Facility Accreditation Program (VFAP). Our waiting area feels more like home than a hospital. Our facilities manager, Ann Brill, is a master of keeping every corner of the hospital on a strict cleaning schedule in addition to our rigorous twice daily cleaning of all surfaces of the hospital.

Our hospital has experienced 3 major additions since we opened in 1972. We are currently in the process of planning yet another major renovation on our facility including the parking lot.

Our Staff

Our hospital employs 10 veterinarians: 2 board certified surgeons,1 board-certified internal medicine specialist, 1 board certified radiologist, 2 emergency doctors, 3 general practitioners, and 1 veterinary acupuncturist. We have a team of licensed veterinary technicians including a licensed physical therapist. In addition, we have additional staff members including receptionists, technician assistants, veterinary students, and kennel staff.

As mentioned earlier, we have board-certified specialists in the fields of surgery, internal medicine, and radiology. In addition, most of our doctors have special interests in different areas of medicine, such as health maintenance, acupuncture, geriatric medicine, endocrinology, oncology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine.

Our Location

Colonial Veterinary Hospital is conveniently located on North Triphammer Road, just north of the Ithaca Mall across from the YMCA.
